Monthly Points Earner Receives $150 Practice FreePlay on April 26th, 2025

• Free ALL-IN OR FOLD hyper-turbo tournament every Thur, Fri, Sat at 7pm; any and all student players can enter with no money

• Starting chip counts for the hyper-turbo tournament will be given as follows:

  • 10 Chips will be given to every student who wishes to only play the free hyper-turbo tournament AND / OR who doesn't want to text their name to the FBX Poker School phone number 

  • 25 Chips will be given to every student who is going to play in the social game after the hyper-turbo tournament AND whom texts the word 'HERE' with their first Name and last initial to the FBX Poker School phone number (252-508-9114) before they are given chips

  • Players who are given 25 Chips because they claim they will play in the social game but then they don't play in the social game will be banned for the remainder of the promo month from playing in any Free Tournament at FBX Poker School

• Each player can addon or rebuy only one time for $5 (optional); the addon or rebuy is either/or, not both; $5 gets you 25 chips

• Tournament cannot start until at least 6 players are present (dealer may be counted); dealer may cancel the tournament at any time or for any reason

• Play starts at 7pm (or when there are 6 players) and unlimited new participants can be added until the tournament is three handed or it turns 7:30pm, whichever comes first;  except if a player(s) busts and this creates the final three before 7:30pm, the busted player(s) may still re-buy if they have not done so already (or did the addon) 

• Otherwise, one time re-buys or addons are not allowed once there are only three players left or it is past 7:30pm

• Blinds start at 5 and 10, then move up to 10/20, then 15/30, then 20/40, before doubling effectively every 5 minutes

• 1st place winner gets a random mystery envelope they get to pick holding a note worth up to $100

• 1st place also wins 3 points, 2nd place wins 2 points,  and 3rd place wins 1 point on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

• All wins must be played for a minimum of 30 minutes within any social game. After each week, the points will be reset

•  Final night of play is the last Thursday, Friday, Saturday of the month, whichever comes last

• Saturday April 26th, 2025 is the last poker play day of April

• FBX Poker School has adapted Mohegan Sun Poker Room Poker Rules and will closely follow those posted rules

• Any dispute will be decided by the FBX Poker School Tournament Director Nate H. unless said person is in a hand; in that case, disputes will be decided by FBX Poker School Assistant Directors Jacob K. or Tony C.

April Showers Tom Foolery

• Anyone buying in initially for $100+ will have free reign within reason of any and all concessions at their leisure

• Anyone who brings a friend or new student will entitle both the original and new student to a free add-on or rebuy within the daily free points tournament. If the new student also participates in a following social game, the one who invited them will also receive $5 in practice chips for free play.

• "All Choked Up" - 3 People Win $40 in free play practice chips April 26th, 2025 @ 10pm

  • Receive an entry ticket every time someone gives you a compliment during a practice session!

  • Drawing will be held April 26th, 2025 @ 10pm

• High Hand will begin at $420 for April, and will be increased by 25% of the nightly promotion, after each practice session has concluded in its entirety

  • All High hands that win the hand using both cards, will be paid out immediately upon hand completion

    • Full House = $10, Quads = $25, Straight Flush = 20% Remainder, Royal Flush = 40% Remainder

May 2025 Fiestas: Cool Pinatas, Big Prizes, and Winning Poker! 

1. High Hand Offer

• The three best high hands will be recorded every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and the Highest Hand holder at 11:59pm each of those nights will be awarded a Small Money Pinata and 10 raffle tickets to win a Big Money Pinata

• The two runners up will get 10 raffle tickets to win a Big Money Pinata

• All High Hands will then be erased with no more prizes that night

• Must win High Hand with a full house or better and both hole cards must be used; player must make it to a showdown unless their opponents fold (can win High Hand before the river)

• High Hand winner must be present at 11:59pm to be awarded a Small Money Pinata; if not present, Money Pinatas will be awarded to 2nd best High Hand or 3rd best High Hand, in that order, to the player who is actually present

• Small Money Pinatas will each have between $25 and $150; the minimum award is $25 plus 10 raffle tickets to win a Big Money Pinata

• Small Money Pinatas will be chosen and broke open from those small pinatas hanging at the FBX Poker School and cash prize will be given immediately 

• No Money Pinata will be awarded in any game that doesn't last until 11:59pm and unclaimed Pinata cash will be forfeited and will not be paid out to anyone after 11:59pm each night ; dealer can end any game that has fewer than four players

2. Raffle Offer

• There will be a Big Money Pinata drawing at 11:59pm Sat  May 31st; the Big Money Pinatas could have anything between $100 and $500 dollars 

• Winner must be present at 11:59pm Sat  May 31st in order to win the raffle and get the Big Money Pinata; tickets will be picked until someone present wins 

• Every person who straddles a hand on the button and wins the whole pot (not chopped) of the hand that they straddled will earn 10 raffle ticket entries toward the Big Money Pinata! 

• Every person who arrives before 8pm on Texas Hold'em poker play days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) will earn 10 raffle tickers

• For every $20 a person buys in for at the social game, the player will earn 1 raffle ticket except each $100 buy in will get 10 raffle tickets

• Every player who is preset at 1am on any play day and the game is stil going will earn 10 raffle ticekts 

• Every returning player who brings a new player (new player and returninig player must play social game with at least $20) will get 20 raffle tickets and the new player will get 20 raffle tickets

3. Special Offer

• Every night a unique card protector will be put into play at the main table (and only the main table) by FBX Poker School

• The card protector starts out with the player who buys in first for $100 at the start of the social game; buyins will be collected and chips distributed to the first person to the left of the dealer in the 1 seat, then the 2 seat, 3 seat ect

• If no one buys in for $100, the card protector will be out of play until someone does  

• Whichever player has the card protector when the game ends, or 2am, whichever comes first, will win $100

• The card protector stays with the player until they leave, unil the card protecor comes off their cards and another player takes it off the table while the player is still in a hand (stolen),  or they lose it in an all-in battle that they call or initiate

• A card protector can only be stolen if the player with the card protector is in a hand and fails to cover both their cards with the card protector (cannot use another or muliple card protectors); while looking a their hole cards, a card protector may be taken off the cards without penalty but once no hands are touching the cards, the card protector must be put back on within a few seconds or it is fair game for stealing 

• If the player with the card protector calls or initiates an all-in, all their chips must be in before they lose the card protector against an opponent (if card protector player goes all in with $100 but their opponent only has $75 to call, this is not an true "all-in" for the player with the card protector)

• The card protector becomes part of the main pot if the player with the card protector goes all-in and is covered by any other player in the hand;  the card protector goes in the main pot regardless of the number of opponents and regardless at which point of time the player with the card protector originally goes all in; whoever wins the entire main pot, no matter how few chips they had, or when they went  in, wins the card protector if they win the whole main pot; the card protector goes back to the original owner in a chopped pot or if no player can cover their all in bet

• If the player with the card protector leaves before the game ends or leaves before 2am (whichever comes first), the card protector is no longer in play

• Any prizes, rewards, or money earned must be claimed BY THE PLAYER immediately after the hand at play or the time indicated for the prize (e.g. "11:59pm" or  "end of the night"); it is the player's responsibility (not the dealer's) to request payout of prizes;  rewards will not be paid out if a new hand is started or the time indicated has past and the player did not request the prize

4. Free Tournament Offer

• Free Texas Hold'em hyper-turbo tournament every Thur, Fri, Sat at 8pm; any and all student players can enter for free (no money required)

December: Ho Ho Hold'em

• All players who buy in for $100 will receive a free concessions card that can be used at FBX Poker School

  • Only three free concessions cards per night per person; can be used for any concessions

Pocket Pair Despair

• Pocket pair holders of 10 and below can pull 1 note out of the money bag

• Pocket pair holders of JJ and above can pull 3 notes out of the money bag

  • Player must be dealt pocket pairs

  • Must lose the hand completely; no chop pots

  • Only the top board of a two board Texas Hold'em hand will count for prize money

  • Player must make it to the river without folding but can fold on the river to any bet

  • Pocket pair loser will get to pick one or three Federal Reserve Note(s) from a bag filled with money

  • Purse is filled with many $1 dollar bills and at least one $2, one $5, one $10, one $20 , one $50 , and one $100

Welfare Checks: Get 'Charity Chips' when you bust out

• Student players must buy-in for at least $25 and contribute $2 to the welfare system to be eligible to receive 'Charity Chips'

• Must play for at least 30 minutes before busting out

• Cannot intend to immediately re-buy (must be a complete bust out)

• 'Charity Chips' are determined by the amount written on the check and range from $5 to $25

• Players cannot look at written amount or know what the amount is until they bust out

• 'Charity Chips' are offered only once per day and once given, player cannot re-buy for at least 1 hour unless you pay back the entire welfare reimbursed amount, and forfeit the original $2 deposit to help go towards other players in the same nature.

• Welfare Checks are only valid for one day (expire at the end of the social game) and must be returned used or unused

Promo begins December 1, 2024 and ends Decemer 31, 2024

 The Beautifully Ugly Sweater Competition - $75 - Winner selected December 29th at 10pm.

• Show up any time in December during regular school hours in an Ugly Sweater and have your photo taken and sent to the FBX Poker School phone number 252-508-9114 for a chance to win 75 in chips, redeemable any time in January 2025

• The winner will be selected at random by 3 fellow Mecca participants who agree 2/3 upon a single winner. If no single winner is found, more judges will be found until a contestant has been voted upon by 2 individuals.

Nightly High Hand Pool

• Whomever has the best high hand  (top board only in  either game) using both or two hole cards, will be eligible to receive a payout for that high hand that can be used  any time in December or the first week of January.

• $100 will be added nightly (if game lasts until Midnight) into the High Hand Pool that can be won accordingly by any student player.

  • 100% Pool paid for Royal Flush

  • 75% Pool paid for Straight Flush

  • 50% Pool paid for Quads

  • 25% Pool paid for Full House

• If the high hand is won by an Omaha player, the prize is  cut in half with the other half being paid out to whomever had the highest hold'em high hand, although it is cut in half again. Example, Omaha gets 25% for Quads, and if Holdem's high hand was a Full House, they would get 12.5%, equaling a total of 32.5% coming out of the pot.

Returning Player Reward Program: Get $30 in social game chips when you come back

• Everyone who returns to FBX Poker School after being absent for a 30 day period will receive $30 in social game chips

• Returning player cannot buy-in for more than the $30 in free chips until the initial $30 is first lost to the game

• If returning player has more than $100 at cash out, the original $30 is given back to FBX Poker School (even if the returning player re-bought with their own money after losing the initial $30)

• If returning player loses the initial $30, nothing is owed to FBX Poker School. If the returning player wins and cashes out with more than $100, they return the initial $30 back to the school

• Social game chips given must be played until lost in the game; they cannot be taken off the table (no cash value)
